Well as per my birthday list - I am working on getting better. Paying off my debts - wherever they may be - it takes a lot. I had a big discussion with my dad & stepmother on Sunday and my mother today - and I just need to know that being frugal is where I am at at this point in my life. I'll save the millions for my later years - when I'll probably need them :)
I'm in my 27th Year - and so you might as well read about it.

It Makes the World Go Round
Money is a strange thing. Everyone wants it - even those who have it. I mean, there's obviously varying degrees of desire, but I don't know anyone who feels that they have enough of it. I suck with it. I'm a Taurus - apparently Tauruses are supposed to be really good with money - but I've never been. When we were kids we got a lot of what we wanted, and it wasn't until later years that I realised just what my parents had to sacrifice to let us have what we wanted. It left me with the idea though that I could have everything I wanted.

There are a lot of great frugal-living resources out there online. My favourite is MSN's Smart Spending blog, which provides a great survey of personal finance blogs. You can read it here at http://blogs.moneycentral.msn.com/smartspending.
I'm obsessed with frugality these days; I totted up all the drinking and socializing and shoes and other frivolities I charged on credit cards last year and it was staggering. I'm still paying for it (credit cards are evil, I've learned; they've just increased my interest rates again) and will be debt-free by the end of the year. And I've also started saving too, which is a lost art. Good luck on the road to financial freedom! 27 is the perfect age to start your journey.
i'm not sure that i likethe term frugal, but as a taurus, i can say without doubt that i'm a penny-pincher and often describe myself as "cheap".....BUT i am debt free and have savings to show for it (even while being in my 7th year of university :S).......thus, the "frugality" was totaly worth it, cause when i'm done i ave a small "nest egg" to blow on something amazing!
